We recently visited with Chris and Lisbeth in Charlotte, NC. They recently relocated from Washington State to Charlotte and are currently renting a house but have purchased 42 acres in Lancaster, SC just across the border. They took us there on Thursday, June 20 to show us the property. We were their first visitors and so excited to show us around!
The 42 acres includes a house and numerous others structures including a barn (no animals included) which last had some goats, a Quonset hut with a large mower and golf cart, two ponds with fish, woods, and 20 acres of hay which gets harvested 2 times a year and gets fed to some cows which love up the road.
As you can imagine this is far removed from how the rest of the family lives but Susan and I are so happy for them and we were as excited as they were. If anyone is inclined, they would welcome visitors; we intend returning at some point to take some more photos. These only hint at how beautiful and peaceful this is.
